I have been a Registered Mental Nurse now since 1986 and have worked in many settings within the Yorkshire region. I completed my degree at Leeds Metropolitan University in 1994 and qualified as an Independent Nurse Prescriber in 2005.
My passion is working within in the field of Neurodevelopmental Disorders particularly ADHD.
I was one of the founding members of the ADHD assessment and treatment team within Bradford Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. I enjoy working collaboratively with people to enable the best outcome for management of their symptoms so that they feel empowered to see their ADHD as a positive, not an issue that holds them back in life.
In my spare time I am involved with a local youth theatre as a tutor and write plays that are tailored for the needs of the young people in the group. I also train for triathlons and enjoy being a member of a local concert band playing my clarinet.
