I am a Consultant Psychiatrist and am a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and have a Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry. I have an endorsement in Rehabilitation Psychiatry. I am trained formally to conduct and analyse investigations of clinical negligence.
I have over 18 years of experience diagnosing and treating Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Affective Disorder, Personality Disorder, Substance Misuse and am qualified to conduct ADHD assessments.
I have been working as a Consultant for the last 9 years and have worked in the NHS, Private sector, and Prison services. In addition to my clinical work, I am involved in supporting other colleagues through training and supervision. I regularly supervise GP trainees and Advanced Nurse Practitioners in my team.
I am passionate about recommending treatments that are evidence-based but personalised to individual circumstances. I believe in safe prescribing and co-producing treatment plans working closely with my patients. I am reflective on my practice and am dedicated to lifelong learning.
