Dr Tari is fluent in Farsi (Persian) and English.

Dr Tari is a Consultant Psychiatrist working in both the NHS and the private sector. He qualified as a doctor in 1997, initially working as a General Practitioner (GP) and then in various specialties for a number of years before specialising in psychiatry, which provided him with an in-depth understanding of the impact of physical health on a person’s mental health and vice versa.

He completed his post-graduate psychiatric training at Central and Northwest London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) and from 2015 to 2018, he was appointed as a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist at Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Tari was a clinical lead for an in-patient team delivering complex psychiatric and psychological care to acutely unwell patients who suffer from severe mental disorders.

Dr Tari then worked as a substantive consultant for East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) as a clinical lead for a community mental health team from 2018 to 2020. He was also the Associate Clinical Director and lead consultant for local community mental health teams working to deliver complex psychiatric and psychological care to patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions ranging from depression and anxiety disorders to psychotic, bipolar and personality disorders. Dr Tari was the lead consultant for Adult ADHD Service in Luton and Bedfordshire.

He joined Private Hospital in January 2020 and currently works as a clinical lead for a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). He also works as the lead consultant for Bedfordshire Adult ADHD Service.

He also has a keen interest in teaching, frequently teaching medical students, Foundation Doctors, Psychiatry Trainees and specialty doctors in his NHS Trust and at the Private Hospital.

He is a clinical supervisor to higher, core trainees and specialty doctors.
