I completed my medical degree in Kashmir, a beautiful valley in the north of India. Along with the completion of my degree, I enjoyed taking walks in the mountains and playing cricket. I have also represented my college through badminton.

In 2005, I moved to the UK to train in psychiatry. I worked with great teams and fantastic consultants so this was a wonderful experience overall. I finished my training in general psychiatry in 2014.

After completing training, I was interested in general psychiatry and worked as a consultant psychiatrist in Salford. I became a community consultant in 2016, initially working in Bolton until 2018 and now working in Trafford.

My other passion lies in teaching and training. I completed a diploma in medical education at the University of Manchester in 2014. Following this, I have enjoyed various roles in teaching. I was a postgraduate tutor in Bolton for three years and coordinated at the MRC Psych Program for Greater Manchester mental health for three years. I continue to contribute to medical education through expert-lead sessions and Royal College CASC examinations.

I have always been interested in psychopathology and the psychopharmacology of mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. I am keen to learn more about adult ADHD in the future.
