I am trained in administering ADOS-2 and ADIR in autism assessments. I am trained in specifically identifying high functioning autism spectrum disorders together with other possible Co-morbid conditions.

Biography

I was educated at a boarding school in Nigeria, going on to graduate from the University of Lagos Nigeria with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and later a medical degree from the University College Hospital Ibadan, Nigeria in 2000. Having completed house jobs in medicine and surgery, I entered Basic Specialist Training in psychiatry in Dublin, Ireland. I subsequently undertook Higher Specialist Training in Kent and Medway and have worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist since 2015.

I have over 20 years of experience working as a doctor in the NHS, other health services, and the independent sector. I obtained my post-graduate qualification in clinical neuropsychiatry in 2014 at the University of Birmingham. I have assessed and managed patients from a wide variety of backgrounds and have experience in the most common mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, PTSD, alcohol/substance misuse and psychosis, ADHD, and eating disorders.

I have been involved in Mental Health Act Assessments as a Section 12(2) doctor and have prepared reports for and given evidence as a Responsible Clinician at Mental Health Tribunals. In addition to this, I have become competent in the preparation of reports for the courts, and in the assessment of mentally disordered offenders in prison and secure settings. I have been preparing medico-legal reports since 2015 in civil and family court cases. My main areas of interest are personal injury, clinical negligence, and brain injuries.
