Join our Patient Voice community
Help shape the future of Psychiatry UK.
Would you like to play an active role in shaping the care and services provided by Psychiatry UK? We are actively recruiting to expand our Patient Voice group.
You will have the chance to influence change and advocate for patient needs, sharing insights with our staff teams on projects such as the redesign of our website, the shaping of patient communications, or the development of new tech platforms.
As part of the Patient Voice team, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with us on a range of projects across Psychiatry UK, ensuring that the patient perspective is always at the heart of everything we do.
This is your chance to share your insights, highlight what works, and help us improve what doesn’t. Your voice matters and we want to hear it.
You can participate as much or as little as you like, dipping into different projects throughout the year. Whether you’d prefer to get involved in just a few sessions, or stay with us longer, the choice is yours. There’s no obligation – if at any point you feel it’s no longer for you, or if a particular feedback group doesn’t suit your interests, you can opt out with ease.
How do I join?
To be eligible, you will need to be a Psychiatry UK patient, aged 16 or over, and living in England.
If you are registering with our Adult Right to Choose services, you will be asked if you would like to join our Patient Voice community when you set up your MedQare account on our patient portal. If you are an existing patient, or you are registering with our CAMHS or private adult service, please let us know via our Virtual Assistant that you would be interested in joining.
We will then contact you via email to let you know about any new projects for which we need patient input, giving you the option to join us for any specific projects that interest you. Please remember to look out for our initial email and add Psychiatry UK to your safe senders list.
We will arrange meetings via the Teams app, to bring together Psychiatry UK staff with volunteers from our Patient Voice group. These sessions will be very relaxed, providing you with a platform to actively participate and have a say in the discussions.
You will have the chance to influence change, advocate for patient needs, and be part of a team that’s dedicated to making Psychiatry UK the best it can be.
We look forward to hearing your voice. Together, we will ensure that the care we provide meets the needs of every patient.
