Urgent Medical Assistance Needed?
Psychiatry UK is an online service only and therefore is not able to offer an emergency service. Please refer to our advice on how to get assistance.
Chat With Us
Our Virtual Assistant is open 24/7 and available here on our website, or via our patient portal and Companion app (click on the green button in the bottom corner of your screen called ‘Chat live with us’, or the speech bubble in a navy circle on a mobile device).
If you need to speak to an advisor the Virtual Assistant can direct you to this option. (Advisors are only available Mon-Fri: 8am-6pm; Sat-Sun: CLOSED).
If you are not able to access our live chat, please check whether you have an active ad blocker set up on your browser. If so, please uninstall or temporarily disable to access the live chat feature.
Give Us a Call
Telephone: 0330 124 1980 (Mon-Fri: 8am-6pm; Sat-Sun: CLOSED).
Our phone lines are extremely busy and we regret that you may be on hold for some time. Please bear with us until we are able to take your call.
Existing Patient Enquiry?
We’re making some changes to the way patients can communicate with us to ensure faster response times than our current note system can provide. We’ve doubled our investment in our Live Chat service, increasing our customer support team and making staff from wider teams available to answer patient-related queries.
What will this mean?
Currently, patients can raise a query via a note on the patient portal. The changes we are introducing will mean:
- All patients will be able to reply to notes left by their doctor, or members of our administrative or nursing teams, but they will not be able to create a new note without being prompted.
- Patients in active titration (or paused) will still be able to raise new notes to their prescriber.
- Patients whose prescriber has granted continued contact will also be allowed to write new notes to their prescriber.
- The note system will remain unchanged for private patients and families registered with our Child & Adolescent service.
- Patients at the end of titration, whose GP has declined Shared Care, will continue to be able to request new prescriptions via the portal.
If you are unsure how the changes will affect you, or you have any other queries, please get in touch with our customer support team via Live Chat or our telephone support line during opening hours (Mon-Fri 8am-6pm).
