I am a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in General Adult Psychiatry, with  professional experience in the UK since 2008.

In addition to my clinical practice, I have been involved in research programmes through my doctorate studies and I am a co-author of a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals. I attended training courses at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London and at Charite, Medical University in Berlin.

My clinical experience covers the breadth of mental health difficulties, including mood and anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

In my practice I try to utilise a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches, including elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy and compassion focused therapy. I am also a qualified music therapist.

My approach is patient-centred and individualised. I am passionate about relational psychiatry, as well as the impacts of trauma on physical and mental health, with a focus on building personal resilience. I strongly believe that understanding a patient’s unique experience through emphatic attunement and dialogue lies at the root of recovery.
