Private Adult Mental Health Assessment

Get a private adult mental health assessment in the UK, with no GP referral needed. Our Consultant Psychiatrists provide a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, a detailed written report, and clear recommendations for treatment, all delivered online, at a time that fits around your life.

Whether you’ve been struggling with anxiety, low mood, trauma, or symptoms you can’t quite explain, we’re here to help you better understand your experiences and provide a diagnosis if appropriate.

Is a Private Mental Health Assessment Right For You?

If you’ve been struggling with your mood, anxiety, sleep, or a sense that something isn’t quite right, and it’s starting to affect your work, relationships or daily life, you’re not alone. Many adults live with symptoms for years before seeking an assessment, often unsure whether what they’re experiencing has a name, or where to start.

This private, self-pay service is designed for adults aged 18 and over who want a thorough clinical assessment without the wait times associated with NHS referral pathways. You don’t need a GP referral to access this service. You can self-refer and book directly online.

This assessment could be right for you if…

  • You want to avoid long NHS waiting lists or GP referral delays.
  • You’d prefer a flexible, online assessment you can attend from home with a Consultant Psychiatrist.
  • You’d like to better understand your experiences and whether a specific condition may explain them.
  • You’d rather self-refer, without needing to see a GP first.
  • You’ve noticed patterns affecting your work, relationships, or day-to-day life.
  • You want a comprehensive written report to share with your GP, employer, or other professionals if you choose.
