Dr Lisa Ekeledo MBBS, MRCPsych is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with specialist accreditation in Older Adult and Liaison Psychiatry. Lisa completed her training through the Charing Cross scheme, gaining extensive experience across several prominent West and North West London NHS hospitals.
She is approved by the Secretary of State for the purposes of Section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended in 2007). With well over a decade of experience in mental health and capacity assessments, she provides expert diagnosis and management for a wide range of complex conditions.
She possesses an extensive background in managing functional and organic disorders involving moderate to severe impairment, alongside complex behavioural and psychological symptoms associated with advanced mental health needs.
Lisa leads the treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders across the lifespan, with a particular focus on Adult ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in individuals of all genders. She has specialised expertise in identifying internalised or atypical presentations of Autism, particularly within populations that have been traditionally under-represented or misdiagnosed.
While Lisa is proficient in gold-standard diagnostic tools such as DSM-V, ADI-r and ADOS 2, she prioritises a dimensional approach to care. She looks beyond traditional diagnostic lenses to encompass each individual’s unique lived experience, ensuring that every patient feels heard and understood.
Known for her kind and empathetic nature, Lisa is dedicated to a patient-oriented approach. She takes the time to ensure that both patients and their carers are fully informed and actively involved in every step of the assessment and treatment journey.
She is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy, and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Clinical Practice.
