Kim was awarded her medical degree (MBBS) from Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ Medical School, King’s College, London, in 2007. Whilst at medical school, she was also awarded an Intercalated BSc in Healthcare Law & Ethics. Kim trained as a psychiatrist in the Northwest of England. In 2013, she became a Member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists and a Section 12 Approved Doctor. In 2016, Kim became an NHS Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist and an Approved Clinician for the purposes of the Mental Health Act 1983. Since becoming a consultant in 2016, Kim has worked in a variety of roles including community and inpatient settings for both adults and older adults. Kim is currently an NHS Consultant for a Memory Service in Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in complex dementia presentations. She is proficient in the assessment and treatment of mental illness including anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, schizophrenia, Bipolar Affective Disorder, personality disorders and PTSD. Kim has received specialist training in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. Kim has excellent interpersonal skills and works in partnership with patients, their families and colleagues alike. Kim listens to her patients, is compassionate and works tirelessly to achieve the best outcomes for her patients. Kim is responsible for the educational and clinical supervision of junior doctors and is recognised by the GMC as an Educational and Clinical Supervisor after being awarded a PostGraduate Certificate in Workplace Based Postgraduate Medical Education in 2017.
