Case Studies
Problem:
Rising demand and inconsistent referral thresholds across an ICB created delays and GP burden.
Solution:
Psychiatry UK co‑designed an ICB‑wide triage hub with commissioners and system partners to standardise and clinically screen referrals.
Outcome:
Clearer system pathways, fewer rejected referrals, reduced pressure on primary care and improved patient flow.
Problem:
Closure of a local autism pathway left ~800 patients without a route to assessment and significant data risk.
Solution:
Psychiatry UK delivered structured transfer, data validation and clinical prioritisation working directly with the ICB and GP practices.
Outcome:
Patients safely re‑entered a managed pathway, restoring flow, continuity of care and system stability.
Problem:
Long waits for ADHD assessment left patients with cystic fibrosis struggling to engage with complex treatment, increasing clinical risk.
Solution:
Psychiatry UK worked with an NHS Trust to prioritise ADHD assessment and treatment alongside physical health teams.
Outcome:
Improved adherence, better continuity of treatment and reduced risk of avoidable deterioration.
Problem:
Primary care teams reported variable confidence supporting neurodivergent patients.
Solution:
Psychiatry UK co‑produced and delivered interactive, lived‑experience‑led training for a whole PCN workforce.
Outcome:
Increased confidence, shared understanding and more effective patient interactions across roles.

QareScrybe
Clinical &
Operational Documentation Support

QareAssistant
Clinical Support &
Workflow Enablement

Problem: Increasing clinical demand required better day‑to‑day support for clinicians within complex pathways.
What we built: QareAssistant supports clinicians by streamlining routine clinical tasks and workflows.
Why it matters: Improves efficiency and consistency, allowing clinicians to focus on decision‑making and patient care.
QareSafe
Safety, Quality &
