Dr Amanda Fuller qualified in 2009 from the University of Bristol. She trained in psychiatry at the Maudsley and in Kent, and is a Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive experience supporting adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties.
She has broad clinical expertise across general adult and older adult psychiatry in both community and inpatient settings. She provides specialist assessment and treatment for;
• anxiety disorders
• depression
• women’s mental health
• obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD)
• post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
• addictions
• bipolar affective disorder, and psychotic illnesses, including schizophrenia
She is accredited as a Specialist in General Adult Psychiatry and holds an endorsement in Rehabilitation Psychiatry from the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She was approved by the Secretary of State as a Section 12 doctor and has Responsible Clinician status. Dr Fuller has also worked as a Clinical Director and has significant experience in large-scale service transformation, leadership, and system development within complex healthcare environments.
She is a trauma-informed practitioner and works in a neuroaffirmative way, adapting her approach to each individual’s strengths, needs, and lived experience. Patients describe her as compassionate, thoughtful, and collaborative. She speaks Arabic, Farsi, and French, and is committed to delivering respectful, culturally sensitive, and evidence based psychiatric care. Dr Fuller has also completed professional training in Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in Health at Harvard Medical School.
