Associate Specialist Psychiatrist
I am genuinely passionate about delivering high quality psychiatric care and assessing, diagnosing and treating ADHD. I am a GP with over 20 years of clinical experience with particular expertise in mental health. My interest in mental health was shaped by personal experience supporting a close family member; this has given me a deep appreciation of how profoundly mental health affects every aspect of life and how transformative the right support can be.
I have a keen interest in Mental Health, Lifestyle Medicine and Women’s Health. My approach is holistic and patient centred, with a strong belief in supporting the balance between mind and body to promote long-term wellbeing. I have supported patients through the assessment process and hold expertise in initiating, prescribing and monitoring ADHD medication. I find great job satisfaction when my patients receive the treatment they need and go on to achieve their potential and live fulfilled lives.
I completed my medical degree at the University of Leeds in 2001 and went on to train in Birmingham. I have worked across both the NHS and private sector, caring for patients with a wide range of physical and psychological conditions. I am pleased to be part of the Psychiatry-UK team and to contribute to improving access to timely, high-quality ADHD care.
