Consultant Psychiatrist Specialising in Autism Spectrum Conditions and Client-Centred Care
GMC Number: 4374374
I graduated from medical school in Germany in 1992. I came to the UK to work in Acute Medicine and passed the United States Licensing Examination before embarking on my journey in Psychiatry. During my postgraduate education in Psychiatry, I trained in various locations both in the UK and Germany.
I completed my research doctorate in Berlin and obtained my full registration as a Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist in Germany. Following this I returned to the UK to join the NHS. During that time, I worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in various General Adult and Learning Disabilities In- and Outpatient services and developed a special interest in people who have an autism spectrum disorder.
In my daily practice I use a humanistic, client orientated approach. My focus is on my client’s subjective view of the world, which is especially helpful in the management of Autism Spectrum Conditions. I aim to support my client navigating the ever more complex challenges in the world around us.
I see my client as an equal partner in the process of finding lasting solutions, healing and improving the quality of life.
