Our CQC/Inspection Report

Our latest inspection report was released on 9th June 2025 and can be viewed here.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) monitors, inspects and regulates services to ensure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. They publish what they find to help you choose the right care.

Following inspection, services are rated as either Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement or Inadequate.

Psychiatry UK’s General Adult service was last assessed in February 2025 and was rated ‘Good’.

Excerpts from our latest report

“There was a strong culture of openness and learning. Staff were encouraged to raise concerns. The provider held regular staff forums, surveys and roadshows to engage with staff and shape the development of the organisation. Staff were recognised for their contributions and supported with wellbeing initiatives.”

“Staff told us leaders were visible and approachable. Senior staff worked closely with all staff to ensure a good quality service.

There was a clear vision and a strong set of embedded organisational values. The aims of the service were outlined within policies and procedures. The long-term goal was to work with health care partners such as the NHS to reduce waiting lists for Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments.

The service developed its vision, values and strategy jointly with staff.”

“Staff treated patients with kindness, compassion and respect. Patients consistently told us they felt listened to and supported by staff, particularly the prescribers. Staff understood the impact of long waiting times and made efforts to reassure patients, offering flexible appointment times to accommodate patients’ routines and responsibilities.

The service promoted person-centred care. Staff made reasonable adjustments for neurodiverse patients, such as offering appointments without video or at preferred times. Patients said they felt comfortable sharing personal information and that staff were sensitive to their needs.”
