I have been a registered children’s nurse since 2005 and qualified as a nurse prescriber in 2015. I have worked within various setting throughout my career as a registered children’s nurse.
In 2007 I moved to Hong Kong and worked for Cathay Pacific Airways as an Occupational Specialist Health Nurse and in 2009 I returned to the UK to commence a career in School Health Nursing. During my time as a School Health Nurse I completed my Specialist Community Public Health Nurse in School Health. In 2012 I left School Health and joined CAMH’s as a Primary Mental Health Worker and completed my nurse prescribing focusing mainly on ADHD medication. In 2016 I left CAMH’s to join Community Paediatrics Child Development Centre as a Neuro-developmental Specialist Nurse and have continued to work there initiating, titrating and stabilising medication whilst offering holistic family centred support to the child/young person and their family during their journey with Community Paediatrics and transition to Adult ADHD Services when they reach 18 years of age.
