Having done under graduation in India, I went on to do Post graduation in Psychiatry from a reputed, tertiary institution In India.
I since did further training in UK and obtained Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and a Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry from Leeds University, passing with merit.
I completed my higher training in 2 specialities and hold a Dual CCT in both General adult and Old age psychiatry.
I am currently working as a General Adult Psychiatry Consultant in the Community, for the past 15 years.
I have been heavily involved in medical education and training and continue with those roles.
My special interests include disorders related to neurodivergence. I am trained in ADI-R and ADOS to diagnose Autism Spectrum Condition/Disorder. I am also trained in DIVA for diagnosing ADHD.
I am avid reader of books of fiction and enjoy gardening, music and long walks.
