Dr Saadiya khan has worked in Psychiatry in the NHS for over 13 years.
She received membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2017 and attained her Certificate of Completion of Specialty Training in 2020. She is on GMC Specialist Register, is section 12 approved and holds Responsible Clinician status.
She assesses and treats patients with mood disorders, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, autism spectrum disorders in addition to anxiety disorders and personality disorder. She has special interest in child and adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr Khan believes that every individual is unique; and she works in collaboration with patients and their families when formulating diagnosis and management plans. She takes a holistic approach in the management of her patients.
Dr Khan’s longer term experience of working in different teams and locations has polished her skills and clinical acumen in the form of engagement work, multiagency working, and use of wider scientific explanation/approaches in mental disorders in people along with the balanced use of psychopharmacology.
Dr Khan is multilingual and can provide consultation in English, Urdu, and Pushto.
