Dr Ahmad is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in offering the assessment and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders for the young people up to the age of 25. His main focus remains the treatment of ADHD and  he believes that the successful treatment of ADHD   can change the trajectory of young people’s lives, with multiple positive outcomes.

  • Diploma in Psychological Medicine (DPM) – Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Ireland.
  • FRCPSych – Royal College of Psychiatrists, London.

Specialisation

Dr Ahmad is passionate and a strong advocate for working with young people with neurodiversity. He finds his work both intellectually challenging and rewarding.

He has extensive clinical knowledge and skills in treating young people with ADHD medication. He  always makes sure that the lowest effective dose of medication is being used, and that the young persons are being closely monitored.

Dr Ahmad has made presentations on ADHD at Local, Regional, National and International levels.

He has been actively  involved in teaching and training medical students, GPs and psychiatry trainees.

Dr Ahmad is described by her colleagues and patients as being very empathic who has  excellent interpersonal skills. He believes in building partnerships with young people with ADHD, and keep them involved in the treatment process.
