Please read before booking…
Private Patients (Adult ADHD & ASD): It is currently not possible to book a private Adult ADHD or private Adult ASD assessment using the booking form. We are planning to reopen both our private Adult ADHD and ASD services in 2025. We are still accepting private CAMHS ADHD assessments. If you would like us to notify you when we re-launch our private ADHD and ASD services, please leave your details here and we will get in touch.
However, you may be able to receive a free assessment for ADHD and ASD and subsequent treatment (for ADHD) if you live in England or Wales under a scheme run by the NHS called Right To Choose (RTC). Please read our Right To Choose (ADHD) or Right To Choose (ASD) pages for more information and details on how you can apply.
Due to the continuing demand for our services, we are operating waiting lists for our RTC ADHD and ASD services. Due to multiple factors, the time our patients need to wait for treatment can change frequently, and we are unable to give anticipated wait times. If you contact our customer service team, they will be unable to give any additional information regarding wait times. We provide an update on waiting times here.
Please note we do not prioritise private patients over RTC and NHS-contract patients. The fees we charge to the NHS are the same as our private patient fees and we therefore have no grounds to treat people differently.
Only our ADHD psychiatrists are able to perform ADHD assessments. If you book an alternative assessment in the hope of receiving an earlier appointment for an ADHD assessment, you will find that the doctor is unable to help you when you meet. We will be unable to offer you a full refund under these circumstances.
In the majority of cases, adult clients will need a full one hour assessment, this will include your psychiatrist giving you a formal diagnosis, where indicated, with a written opinion or assessment letter and suggested treatment plan at a cost of £360.00.
As a result of your consultation there may be additional fees, including any costs for prescribing medication. This will be agreed between you and the psychiatrist at the time of assessment along with any extra time spent in the consultation if the meeting runs over one hour.
You will receive an electronic copy of your assessment letter via the patient portal which you will be able to download. A postal copy is available on request.
Please see our Schedule of Fees for more information, or call us on 0330 124 1980 to discuss.
Our service is available for children and young people between the ages of 7-18.
Please read about our services for children before you book.
Please also read our Schedule of Fees before you book.
If you are a returning patient, please DO NOT use this booking form but call us on 0330 124 1980 during office hours and our admin team can arrange your follow up appointment.
If you have a health insurer, please contact us on 0330 124 1980 to arrange your appointment.
Please note that if a booking is interrupted, the system may still store the information you have supplied. We routinely check for incomplete bookings and contact users to check if they would like to complete their booking. If there is no response to our contact attempts or you request it, your information will be deleted from Psychiatry-UK within 14 working days.
