I qualified as a doctor in Madrid from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, in 2009. I completed my training as a psychiatrist in 2015. I am member of the Royal College of Psychiatry and GMC Specialist Register. Beside my biological training and particular interest in neuropsychiatry I have training in different forms of psychological approaches, having gained a MA in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock Clinic in London, as well as completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I currently work for the NHS Oxleas Trust community, offering therapeutic input to patients  and parents struggling with high complex mental health needs. I work with a wide range of presentations including full range of emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis – especially premorbid stages and first episodes – OCD, tics and Tourettes, as well as trauma. I have special interest and expertise in neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly, ASD – particularly high functioning – ADHD, Learning Disabilities, trauma related and associated comorbidities.

I have experience working in adaptative ways with culturally and socially diverse patient groups in a broad range of settings, and with a high range of complexity and risk. I am familiar with devising complex care plans of treatment focusing in providing a multidisciplinary and containing approach, using medication when appropriate.

All this experience has contributed to my ability to work in a highly sensitive, thoughtful and effective way with children, young peoples, adults, parents and carers.
