Dr Peter Yates is an experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who completed his training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children over twenty years ago. Prior to this he gained experience in paediatrics and worked as a research fellow in the Academic Unit of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Imperial College London.
Dr Yates has held several child and adolescent psychiatry consultant posts in the NHS and in a private eating disorders hospital in the United Kingdom and he has also been the clinical lead for the outpatient, day patient and inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric service in Bermuda. Working in these jurisdictions has exposed him to the broad range of thinking, research and advances in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry both in the UK and the USA and this has enriched his understanding and practice to the benefit of the children and families whom he sees.
