Dr Veitch trained at Queen’s University Belfast, graduating in 2007. She has worked in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since 2010; working in the Regional Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit, Eating Disorder Youth Service, and Crisis Assessment and Intervention Team.
Dr Veitch currently works as a Consultant and a Clinical Lead for Sligo Leitrim CAMHS Team. Her areas of special interest are Anorexia Nervosa, and ADHD.
Dr Veitch has co-authored a module on Anorexia Nervosa for the British Medical Journal E-Learning Site, and acts as an Expert Reviewer for other submissions.
Dr Veitch is passionate about medical education and she has created two undergraduate special study modules for Queen’s University Belfast – Anorexia Nervosa in Childhood and Adolescence and Crisis Assessment and Intervention in Adolescence.
