Qualified in 1989 as a dual registered adult and children’s nurse. I worked at Sheffield children’s hospital on the wards before deciding I would like to be a midwife. Having completed training and practised as a midwife my family life led me back to children’s nursing and in 2000 I started as an ADHD Clinical specialist nurse, working in a CAMHS service and also a paediatric neurodisabilty service. I completed my non medical prescribers course in 2007 and have had over 20 years experience of assessing, diagnosing and treating ADHD and it’s associated co morbidities.
