Qualifications: Mental Health Nurse and Independent Nurse Prescriber.
I am a qualified mental health nurse and independent Nurse Prescriber. I qualified as a registered Nurse in 1998 University of Central Lancashire and gained my V300 non-medical prescriber qualification in 2007 at St Martins College.
I started my nursing career supporting adults in inpatient Psychiatric intensive care and acute settings, and after 5 years moved into community mental health and substance misuse rehabilitation services.
In 2004 I became an ADHD specialist Nurse within Child and Adolescent mental health during this time I spent 3 years as a primary mental health worker role providing training and raising awareness of mental health in education settings.
I returned to ADHD in 2011 and currently work within the NHS as a clinical lead in a Nurse-led ADHD service providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management support through the life span of ADHD in children and young adults also work privately providing treatment for ADHD in adults.
I am passionate about ADHD and its associated challenges and dedicated to providing a positive experience aimed at improving outcomes for all.
