Dr. Abbasian (BSc MBBS MSc FRCPsych) completed his psychiatric training at the Maudsley, a centre of excellence and one of the most influential mental health establishments in the world. He has worked with the UK’s leaders in the field of psychiatry and addictions. He has been practicing psychiatry since 2000, and he worked for the NHS for 23 years. He has taught medical students, junior doctors and GPs. Dr Abbasian has had many media appearances, including on the BBC and has published extensively, including in peer reviewed journals. Privately, he worked at the Nightingale Hospital, Marylebone for 13 years and has strong links with the clinics in Harley Street.

Dr Abbasian was involved in establishing Psychiatry UK and sat on its board. He has held senior management and leadership roles within Psychiatry UK, including as designated partner, NED, general adult lead, tutor and ambassador.

Dr Abbasian is recognised by the General Medical Council (4637608), as a dual specialist in
