Dr Nicola Jones graduated from the Newcastle School of Medicine in 2004 and has worked in psychiatry since 2006.

She trained in psychiatry across Yorkshire and in London, completing an MSc in Psychiatry with Distinction and obtaining membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She went on to complete specialist training and qualified as a Consultant in both Adult Psychiatry and Addictions Psychiatry in 2012.

Since then, Nicola has worked as a Psychiatrist in East London and Leeds. She delivers teaching to medical students and trains other doctors in communication skills.

Nicola is experienced in the full assessment, diagnosis and treatment of those with:

  • Drug and alcohol problems (motivational therapy, addictions treatments and relapse prevention medications)
  • Bipolar affective disorder
  • Depression
