Dr Ramakrishnan is a Consultant Psychiatrist with more than 30 years’ experience and is a specialist in diagnosing and treating older people’s mental health, dementia, alcohol related brain damage and medicolegal aspects.
He is Section 12 and AC approved, and Good in Section 49 reports for Court of Protection.
He also has Visiting/Honorary academic Professor status in three Indian Universities, and is a DGM examiner for the Royal College of Physicians.
He currently leads the Old Age Community Mental Health Team and Home Treatment Team in a London Mental Health Foundation Trust.
He has represented the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the National Dementia Declaration, and is Secretary of Chair of UNESCO Chair in Bioethics, UK Unit.
He was awarded International Distinguished Fellow by the American Psychiatric Association. He is also Associate Registrar for Membership Management, Royal College of Psychiatrists and Life Fellow of the Indian Psychiatric Society.
Nationality: British. Apart from English I have a working knowledge of Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and Guajarati.
