I am a Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist with liaison endorsement.
I am the Clinical Lead in the Oxleas perinatal specialist community mental health service in Bexley Bromley and Greenwich. I have led on development of the service, establishing pathways, referral criteria, involving women with lived experience during the service development and after. Additionally, I have chaired the south east London perinatal mental health network until recently and collaborated with professionals across primary, secondary and tertiary services.
I am interested in women’s mental health, the interface between physical and mental health, prescribing in pregnancy, increasing public health awareness and service development.
I am also an Educational Supervisor to psychiatry core and higher trainees, medical students from King’s College Medical School and Clinical Supervisor to psychiatry higher trainees and Foundation Year doctors.
I am on the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ perinatal faculty executive committee and on the Education and Training committee of the college.
I love to read, travel and spend time with family and friends.
