After obtaining my Basic Medical Qualification in India, I moved to the UK in 2003 to train in Psychiatry. I obtained a Diploma in Psychiatry from Cardiff University in 2007, Membership at the Royal College of Psychiatry in 2014, and qualified as a Consultant in Psychiatrist in 2018.
During these years, I have worked across Adult and Older people services, assessing and treating the following mental health issues:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Phobia
- Bipolar disorder
- Schizophrenia
- Adult ADHD.
I also have specific experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of dementia.
I am a patient-centred doctor. I have always had excellent feedback from my patients and colleagues. My patients have complemented me for my excellent communication skills and empathy.
I have attended specific training workshops for Adult ADHD organised by UK Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN). I keep my knowledge and skills up to date by attending conferences across the country. I also provide supervision and training to medical students and junior doctors.
I am a nature lover and regularly visit lakes and ponds. I also enjoy listening to music.
