Dr Sadiq is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Adult Mental Health, Adult ADHD and Addiction. He has over 14 years of experience working within Adult Mental Health Services in the NHS, UK.
Dr Sadiq qualified as a doctor in 2001 and became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2011. He holds a CCT in General Adult Psychiatry with a subspecialty endorsement in Addiction Psychiatry. Dr Sadiq is also a qualified General Practitioner and a practicing GP. He also holds a CCT in General Practice. He is an Approved Clinician and Section 12(2) Approved under The Mental Health Act.
Dr Sadiq has extensive experience working with adults who have ADHD. He is actively involved in the assessment, diagnosis and management of adult ADHD patients in one of the big NHS trusts in the UK. Dr Sadiq is particularly interested in the links between ADHD and addiction, as many people with ADHD have comorbid substance misuse and addiction. Dr Sadiq has worked in one of the big tertiary NHS substance misuse departments in the Northwest region of England. He has a wide range of experience in treating substance misuse disorders and substitute prescribing for abstinence of drugs and alcohol.
Dr Sadiq’s areas of expertise are General Adult Psychiatry, Adult ADHD, Substance Misuse Psychiatry. He is a trainer recognised by the General Medical council and is actively involved in the teaching and training of Medical students, Foundation, Core and Specialist psychiatry trainees.
Dr Sadiq currently works as a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry and Adult ADHD in Northwest of England. He has substantial experience in the assessment and treatment of people with a range of mental disorders. He also works as a General Practitioner in the UK, and therefore has expertise in the treatment of a wide range of physical health conditions.
Dr Sadiq believes every individual is unique; he works in collaboration with patients and their families when formulating diagnosis and management plans. Dr Sadiq takes a holistic approach in the management of his patients.
Dr Sadiq is multilingual and can provide consultation in English, Urdu, Panjabi, Hindi, Mirpuri and Russian.
