I graduated from medical school in Germany in 1992. I came to the UK to work in Acute Medicine and passed the United States Licensing Examination step 1-3 before embarking on my journey in Psychiatry.
During my postgraduate education in Psychiatry I worked in various locations both in the UK and Germany. I completed my research doctorate in Berlin and obtained my full registration as a Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist in Germany.
Following this I returned to the UK to join the NHS. During that time I worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in adult in – and outpatient services and developed a special interest in people who have undiagnosed autism spectrum disorders. In my daily practice I use a humanistic, client orientated approach.
My focus is on my clients subjective view of the world which is especially helpful in the management of autism spectrum conditions. I aim to support my clients navigating the ever more complex challenges in the world around them.
I see my clients as equal partners in the process of finding lasting solutions, healing and improving the quality of their life.
