Dr Srinatha Doniparthi is an experienced Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry, with endorsement in Rehabilitation Psychiatry. He has a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) degree from Bangalore University (India) and holds a membership degree (MRCPsych) from The Royal College of Psychiatrists. Dr Doniparthi is a Member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists and is registered with the General Medical Council with a license to practice.
Dr Doniparthi has worked in the field of Psychiatry for over 19 years (both in the UK & in India) and has more than 8 years’ experience as a consultant psychiatrist in UK diagnosing and treating various mental illnesses such as Anxiety Disorders, Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Affective Disorder, Personality Disorder and Substance Misuse.
As a clinician, he has a good working knowledge in assessments and diagnosis according to ICD-10 and has a clear understanding about psychotropic medication prescribing and monitoring. He is an Approved Clinician (AC) and Section 12(2) approved under The Mental Health Act. He has experience working both as an inpatient consultant and as a community consultant. In the community, he has worked as a consultant and led the multi-disciplinary teams in various psychiatric sub-specialities such as Early Intervention team, Psychosis and non-psychosis teams.
His biggest strength is his communication skills which puts patients at ease. His non-judgemental approach towards patients is one of his core strengths. He is known for his detailed discussion with patients/carers regarding diagnosis, prognosis and management plan. Dr Doniparthi focuses on individualised treatment plan and involves clients as equal partners whilst making any decisions.
