GMC Number: 4330011
I have had a wide range of experience as a Consultant in General Adult, Child, Adolescent and Old Age Psychiatry over the last 20 years.
My current and most recent Consultant jobs have been community based, working in outpatient clinics as well as making frequent home visits when I was working with Crisis and Home Treatment Teams.
My special interests are assessment and managing most mental health difficulties, including:
- Bipolar Disorders
- Anxiety
- Depression
- OCD
- Psychoses
- Neuro-Psychiatric disorders, including ADHD and ASD.
I have also had 2 years’ training and experience in Peer Supported Open Dialogue practice, which is a patient-centred approach with emphasis on the quality of engagement with a consistent and integrated clinical team and patient’s network collaborative decision making during the entire patients involvement with mental health services.
My professional view is that establishing a trusting, empathic and collaborative connection with patients and their family or social network, and involving them in their care plan is crucial to their recovery.
