I completed my Medical Degree at the University of Bristol and my Psychiatric training at South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust, becoming a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2012. I am dual trained, obtaining my CCT in General Adult Psychiatry and Substance Misuse.
I worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist within the NHS for seven years. This included Adult Community Assessment and Recovery Teams, Acute Inpatient Services, and I designed and led an innovative and successful new Psychiatric Decisions Unit. I then went on to work at and lead a private Rehabilitation, Recovery and Personality Disorders Inpatient Unit. Following this I worked for a private outpatient service, assessing and managing individuals with a variety of mental health disorders and developed a special interest in ADHD and developing ADHD pathways.
I have led a number of quality improvement projects within the NHS and private services, including designing, setting up and leading new services and treatment pathways, developing evidence based, best practice guidelines and policies for physical health care, pharmacological therapies, and patient involvement and feedback.
