Dr Khayyam Uddin is a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist. He has twelve years of experience in the field of psychiatry in NHS. He has completed his core training and higher training in the UK and has achieved CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in General Adult Psychiatry and is on the specialist register with the GMC.
He has been working in the field of psychiatry since 2011 within the NHS. Dr Uddin is also an Approved Clinician and has Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act approval. He is working as a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist for a home based treatment community team. He has vast experience in working with an ethno-culturally diverse population of Greater Manchester with mental health needs.
He has written several psychiatric reports for the courts, both for forensic and general adult acute inpatients.
He has worked in a wide range of services in the UK, including community mental health teams, as well as general and forensic inpatient psychiatric services.
The patient is at the centre of care. With the passage of time, he has developed to understand and feel the pulse of emotions and feelings of the patient. He is psychologically minded looking at the patient’s history and the current dynamics affecting the patient’s mental health.
Dr Uddin has a knowledge and skills base in a range of conditions, including:

- Perinatal psychiatry
- Personality Disorders,
- Phobias,

He is also developing his expertise in Adult ADHD and addictions.
