I am a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in Psychiatry Rehabilitation, Acute inpatient units and Home Treatment Team. I speak 3 languages, Catalan, English and Spanish.
I came to the UK in 2012 after completing my training as a doctor and then my specialization as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Barcelona, Spain.
In the UK I worked as a Staff Grade for a year and as a Consultant since then. I started at a rehabilitation hospital at Cambian Healthcare. Since 2015 I have been working for the NHS within the Acute Pathway, as an inpatient consultant and as consultant of a busy Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team.
In my current job I work together with a multidisciplinary team and I have clinical responsibility for patients with several mental health enduring conditions. We endeavour to support them and their families at home whenever possible avoiding hospital admission or supporting them for an early discharge from hospital and continued recovery in the community.
