I am a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in both general adult psychiatry and medical psychotherapy (less than 1% of UK psychiatrists hold both these qualifications) and hold a provisional accreditation with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Therapist which is progressing towards full accreditation.

I have completed a Master in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at Oxford University (2019-2022), and I am especially interested in supervision, training and encouraging the integration of bespoke evidence-based CBT interventions to offer comprehensive medical management for mental health difficulties.

I offer CBT for OCD/ BDD, depression, anxiety, psychosis, trauma, and personality disorders. I work independently and collaboratively, offering interventions to individuals, couples and groups. I have specialist experience treating complex cases that usually involve overlapping conditions, including personality difficulties, mood disorders, psychosis, depression or trauma with transdiagnostic process of guilt, shame, blame, perfectionism and low self-esteem.

I work primarily within the therapeutic frameworks of CBT and its recent developments into Mindfulness-based CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy. I have specialist knowledge of multiple different types of psychotherapy approaches, such as Individual Psychodynamic therapy, Mentalisation based therapy and Systemic family therapy.

I have integrated my experience of working within these different therapeutic models and combined these holistic tools and techniques into a novel approach that conceptualises the journey to self-discovery for both patients and colleagues as seeking WARMTH; Wisdom (self-knowledge) , Acceptance (self-acceptance), Resilience (self-empowerment), Magnanimity (self-forgiveness), Transformation (self- development) and valuing Hermeneutics (self-reflection).
