I have been a Consultant Psychiatrist for more than 20 years and worked in most branches of psychiatry, including General Adult, Forensic, Child and Adolescent, Rehabilitation Psychiatry as well as male and female Personality Disorder Services. I have diagnosed and treated Depression, Anxiety Disorders, OCD, ADHD, Eating Disorders, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Affective Disorder and Personality Disorder. This is not an exhaustive list.
Currently I am an NHS consultant with AC status and section 12 approval. My work includes teaching Medical Students and Physician Associates on clinical attachments.
I have a special interest in Psychopharmacology, and this was my MSc project at Keele University. I also work for the CQC providing second opinions on psychiatric medication and ECT. I am an Expert Witness for Mental Health tribunals, family and criminal courts.
