Dr Vafa Pirjamali is a Consultant Psychiatrist with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry and a subspecialty endorsement in Rehabilitation Psychiatry. He studied Medicine (MBBS) and Neuroscience and Mental Health (BSc, 2.1) at Imperial College London. He completed his Core Psychiatry Training on the South London and Maudsley rotation, working at Bethlem Royal Hospital, Maudsley Hospital and King’s College Hospital, during which time he gained Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). He completed his Higher Psychiatry Training at South West London & St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, where he now works as a Substantive Consultant in a community mental health team.
Dr Pirjamali has experience assessing and treating a range of mental health conditions including psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar, depression and anxiety disorders. He has additional experience working with people who have received a diagnosis of personality disorder, in a variety of settings including a Therapeutic Community and a Mentalisation Based Treatment service. He has a special interest in adult ADHD.
