Appointments with Psychiatry-UK, following referral to the Kent and Medway Adult Autism and ADHD Service

NHS in Kent and Medway have been experiencing a very high demand for support, which is significantly impacting on waiting times and will mean your wait is likely to be longer than we would like it to be.

NHS Kent and Medway, with providers, is looking at possible ways to increase the support available for this service and as soon as we know more we will be in contact.

In the meantime, please check out the advice and support available on the NHS website, which can provide more information while waiting for an assessment or medication.

As soon as we can progress with your appointment, we will contact you, you don’t need to do anything.

As a way of improving the efficacy of our titration services, Psychiatry-UK has implemented a pilot model in Kent & Medway, with a view to rolling this out for all NHS patients later this year. Our 12-week titration model improves our responsiveness to our patients’ clinical needs, as well as ensuring the overall throughput of our titration services. This will enable more patients to be seen effectively, reduce waiting times and ensure that those receiving care are titrated, stabilised, and transferred back into shared care with their own GPs as seamlessly as possible, in compliance with NICE clinical guidelines for ADHD.

If there has been any confusion, or miscommunication about your treatment & you are a Kent or Medway patient, please do not hesitate to contact your prescribing consultant/nurse, who can give you more details and or reassurance.
