My career in mental health began 30 years ago, working with the elderly in a community setting in nursing and residential care. I then obtained my registration as a mental health nurse from the University of Chester in 2002, which I followed by achieving my independent nurse prescriber qualification in 2016.
My experience in the NHS encompasses several areas within the Mental Health arena, including acute in-patient, community, and crisis resolution. I have also enjoyed working with adults diagnosed with ADHD and furthered my skills and knowledge by joining Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in 2022. Here, I am a clinical specialist nurse in ADHD in the Community Paediatrics division.
My specialist interest is the prescribing and management of ADHD, for all ages. Excellent patient outcomes are the centre of my practice.
My interests include travelling, swimming and gastronomy.
