I am a Section 12(2) approved Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in many aspects of Psychiatry, including (but not limited to) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), CAMHS, Learning Disabilities, Forensic Psychiatry, Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorder, and Gender Identity Disorder. I completed my core training in Psychiatry at Cardiff & Vale Local Health Board before moving on to higher training in Psychiatry of Learning Disabilities with a special interest in CAMHS within the Severn Deanery.
Since completing my psychiatric training at the Severn Deanery I have worked as the Consultant Psychiatrist at Southwick Park School in Gloucestershire (for children with complex needs including autism spectrum disorder, severe learning disabilities, and severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties) as well as Potterspury Lodge School in Northamptonshire (for children with autism spectrum disorders, complex needs, and associated behaviours).
In my current role, I am the Responsible Clinician/Consultant Psychiatrist for an inpatient Locked Rehabilitation unit, primarily working with patients detained under the MHA. In addition to this, my on-call duties cover three secure psychiatric units covering all aspects of both learning disability and forensic psychiatry.
