I am a Consultant Psychiatrist. I worked as an NHS Consultant in Adult Mental Health for over 20 years.
I trained as a doctor at Bristol University. I also have a degree in Psychology and a Certificate in Psychotherapy. I became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1996 and a Fellow of the College a decade ago.
I ensure my patients receive a comprehensive assessment and appropriate treatment. In addition to advising you and your GP about medication, my psychodynamic approach helps us to understand how your past experiences may relate to your present difficulties. This can often be the key to recovery. A follow-up session may or may not be needed to complete your assessment, allowing time for reflection and a shared understanding.
